The Fountain at Victoria Square

Technically called the Three Rivers Fountain, this is the best place to start. Selfie enthusiasts love this spot, which is near cafes at Central Market or around the square and the free tram station. After breakfast or lunch, start here and head down by tram to Rundle Mall.

Rundle Mall

Rundle Mall can be intercepted a few times on this plan. There are many sculptures throughout the mall, including the famous silver two balls, which was always a popular meeting space for friends to find each other. There are some additional sculptures in the David Jones food court.

Sir Donald Bradman Statue at Adelaide Oval

Sir Donald Bradman Statue

The Bradman statue is near the King William Road bridge outside the Adelaide Oval and Hotel. Bradman resided in Kensington Gardens, Adelaide; his home was heritage-listed in 2004.

If you get your angle right in your photos, the Adelaide Oval will frame you and the statue perfectly for a standout selfie. The Bradman Collection is open at the Oval from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on most days, except when an event is on. Public toilets are also available there.

The Footbridge

The Riverbank Footbridge

The City of Adelaide describes the pedestrian riverbank experience as follows;

Encased in curved glass cladding, lined with LED lights, the Adelaide Riverbank Footbridge links the Adelaide Oval to the city and allows pedestrians to traverse the Torrens.

To get to the footbridge, continue along the Adelaide Oval to the main entrance, and the bridge is opposite that. If you have a selfie with the Oval/Hotel behind you, it makes for a different set of shots to use the backdrop of the theatre and buildings behind for this selfie. It makes for a nice collection by having each set very individually.

Once you are over the footbridge, you can continue straight to North Terrace, where the free tram stops outside Adelaide Railway Station. You can catch the tram to Rundle Mall again or up North Terrace to enjoy lunch at the Art Gallery or Afternoon Tea at your chosen cafe.

Experience North Terrace

North Terrace is beautiful 24/7. From Gothic architecture to museums, libraries, art galleries, and the University, North Terrace is stunning. As you walk towards the Botanical Gardens and East Terrace, you will notice that the buildings have retained the late 19th Century feel and are enjoyed by everyone during the lights festival during our winter time.

Duration

This self-guided and self-paced tour will take at least 3 hours and allows you to visit Rundle Mall twice. This experience will put together a beautiful album of selfies of your Adelaide experience, which will look unique.
